Road Trip Wednesday: Best Books of the Year

RTW is combining with Highwayer Sarah Enni's End-of-the-Year blog carnival, and asking:
What were your top five favorite books of 2011? 
 
This is such a hard question since I read nearly 100 books this year, and fell in love with so many of them. Narrowing it down to five isn't easy, but I've given it a shot. The following list is in no particular order. Each of them kept me on my toes in different ways and kept me reading well past my bedtime or "Okay, I really need to write right now time!"

    More books to add to my TBR list. Yay! As I go on this road trip my list is getting longer and longer. Obsidian has been on several lists and I never even heard of it. Obviously I have been missing out.

    If I hadn't read Hunger Games this year, Where She Went would've won my choice for best book. So amazing. And I have Mara sitting on my super high TBR pile. I foresee it moving to the top.

    I haven't read any of these :-/ Yikes! I really want to read WHERE SHE WENT, though, as IF I STAY was so heartbreaking and wonderful... The MC's parents had to be the greatest parents in all of YA lit.
